Milano Hockey Club is pleased to announce that it has reached an agreement with Swedish centre David Lindquist for the 2026/27 season. The player has already arrived in Milan, joined his new teammates and is available to the coaching staff.

A native of Norrbotten, in northern Sweden, Lindquist was born on 7 October 1992 and joins Milano on his 34th birthday. He is a left-shooting centre, standing 179 cm and weighing 80 kg, with a long career across Sweden and Switzerland.

Lindquist first made his name in HockeyEttan, Sweden’s third tier, mainly with Piteå HC (165 points in 158 games overall). He then established himself in HockeyAllsvenskan, where he recorded 307 appearances and 176 points (54 goals and 122 assists) over seven seasons with IF Björklöven and BIK Karlskoga. In 2018/19 he also played 16 games in the top-flight SHL with Luleå HF.

The Swiss years

Lindquist moved to Switzerland in the summer of 2023. In his first season, with HCV Martigny, he finished the Swiss League regular season with 45 points in 43 games, leading the league in assists with 38. In February he moved to EHC Visp, with whom he played the playoffs. In 2024/25 he played for HC Thurgau, scoring 43 points in 45 regular-season games (47 in 53 including the playoffs).

Last season, with HC La Chaux-de-Fonds, he confirmed his offensive qualities with 44 points in 45 regular-season games (16 goals and 28 assists). He added 14 points in 18 playoff games on the way to the Swiss League final, for a season total of 58 points in 63 games. That same season he won the Swiss Cup with La Chaux-de-Fonds.

Player profile

A reliable centre, Lindquist combines vision, puck-handling skills and the ability to create chances for his teammates. He is a playmaker who adds experience and depth to Milano’s forward group.

His knowledge of European hockey, gained in Sweden and Switzerland, is a further asset for the Milano Hockey Club roster in the club’s inaugural win2day ICE Hockey League season.
