MILAN, 7 October 2026 – Milano Hockey Club is pleased to announce a new partnership with MDOTM, a global provider of AI-driven investment solutions for banks, asset managers and wealth managers.
MDOTM joins the Club as a partner for the 2026/27 season, marking Milan’s return to the highest levels of international hockey with its participation in the win2day ICE Hockey League and ahead of the long-awaited home debut at the new Fiera Ice Arena in Rho on Friday, 9 October.
The partnership begins at a particularly significant moment for Milanese hockey. The city’s hockey history stretches back more than a century: since Milan’s first club was founded in 1924, Milanese teams have won a total of 32 national titles, building one of the richest traditions in Italian ice hockey.
Today, with a new team, a new arena and a new sporting project, Milan is ready to write a new chapter in that history.
The connection between MDOTM and Milanese hockey, however, goes beyond a commercial partnership. Tommaso Migliore, co-founder and CEO of MDOTM, is a former professional hockey player who spent his entire club career in Milan. He captained the Italian National Team at the XXVI Winter Universiade and the Milanese club from 2011 to 2015, winning the Italian Serie A2 Championship and the Coppa Italia.
“I learned a lot about building companies before I ever started one. I learned it in locker rooms. Hockey taught me that games are often decided by the things that never make the highlight reel: taking a hit to make a pass, blocking a shot, doing the hard work when nobody is watching.
I carried those lessons with me when we built MDOTM. Building a company, in many ways, is not that different: it takes hard work, conviction and an extraordinary group of people who are willing to work for something bigger than themselves.
I was fortunate enough to wear the Milan jersey and to captain this city’s team, so I know what that jersey means, the values it carries and the passion of the fans behind it.
To see that story begin again, and for MDOTM to be there from day one, is incredibly special to me,” said Tommaso Migliore, co-founder and CEO of MDOTM.
Christof Leitner, President of Milano Hockey Club, added:
“In our first season, every partner who chooses to believe in this project is helping us build something for the future. With MDOTM, there is an even stronger connection: a company with deep ties to Milan is choosing to support the return of top-level hockey to this city from day one. That shared connection to Milan makes this partnership particularly meaningful for us, and we are very proud to have MDOTM alongside us on this journey.”
MDOTM builds agentic AI for portfolio management, designed for banks, asset and wealth managers. Its Sphere platform is used by more than 60 financial institutions across the US, UK and Europe and supports over USD 100 billion in assets under management. In June 2026, the company closed a USD 27 million growth equity round led by Expedition Growth Capital, bringing total investment to USD 36.5 million.
The partnership comes just ahead of one of the most eagerly anticipated moments of Milano Hockey Club’s first season. On Friday, 9 October, the team will play its first-ever home game at the new Fiera Ice Arena in Rho, facing HC Innsbruck. Two days later, on Sunday, 11 October, Milano will host its first Italian derby against HC Bolzano Foxes. The win2day ICE Hockey League regular season runs until 24 February 2027.
Founded in London with offices in New York and Milan, MDOTM Ltd is a global provider of AI-driven investment solutions for Asset and Wealth Management, banks and insurance companies. Its proprietary AI investment platform, Sphere, is designed for human-AI collaboration and supports investment teams through three core solutions: AI-Driven Insights, Portfolio Studio and StoryFolio.
In 2024, Sphere was awarded “Best AI Platform for Asset & Wealth Management” at the Global Business & Finance Awards and received the Morningstar Fintech Showcase award in 2025.
Milano Hockey Club was founded with the aim of bringing Milan back to the highest levels of international hockey. From the 2026/27 season, the Club competes in the win2day ICE Hockey League, one of Europe’s leading leagues, representing Milan in a competition featuring teams from Italy, Austria, Slovenia and Hungary.
The project combines sporting ambition, Milanese identity and a strong focus on the community, with the goal of building a new point of reference for hockey fans and bringing a new generation of supporters to the sport. The Club’s new home is the Fiera Ice Arena in Rho, built by Fondazione Fiera Milano.
