Milano is pleased to announce the signing of Italian goaltender Edoardo Berti, who will be part of the rossoblù roster for the 2026-27 win2day ICE Hockey League season. Berti arrives in Milan after a development path built primarily in Switzerland, culminating in his inclusion in the Sierre roster for the winning final stretch of last season's Swiss League campaign.
Born in Aosta on September 27, 2004 (183 cm, 80 kg, catches left), he grew up in the youth system of HC Aosta Gladiators before moving to Switzerland at a young age, where he completed his development through the youth academies of Lausanne HC, Morges, Ajoie and Genève-Servette HC. His experience across the border allowed him to test himself against one of the most competitive development systems in Europe and to obtain his Swiss licence.
In the 2023-24 season he made his Swiss League debut with Sierre (2 appearances, .955 save percentage). He added two further appearances with Sierre the following season, which he spent predominantly at Martigny in the MyHockeyLeague, again posting strong statistics. In 2025-26 he returned to Geneva for the Under-21 championship (23 starts), before earning another call-up to the Swiss League, where he made 7 regular-season appearances with the Bellinzona Snakes posting a .908 save percentage, before rejoining HC Sierre for the decisive phase of the season.
Berti has represented Italy at two editions of the Under-20 World Championship.
Alongside Italo-Canadian Jake Smith, he will form the goaltending tandem that will begin the season under the supervision of internationally experienced goalie coach Sakari Lindfors. He will wear number 83.
